Jonny Johansson has received many honours and awards for his great performing skills such as the LTs Culture Award, 2004, Östersund, Sweden, The Ingvar Johansson Award; Östersund; Sweden 2000; The Sweden-America Foundation Grant; Stockholm, Sweden; 1995; The Outstanding Student of the Year Award; Guitar Institute of Technology; Hollywood; CA; 1984; The Peterson-Berger Grant; Östersund; Sweden; 1983.
Jonny Johansson was also the Swedish representative to EBU’s (European Broadcast Union) yearly big band concert, Strasbourg, France in 1991.
Jonny Johansson recordings include Boston Tea Party, BIBA Records 1999, Swedish Woodwind, BIBA Records, 1999 and Being Healthy, BIBA Records, 1998. He has also been a Theory Tutor for the Manhattan School of Music and a guitar instructor at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, Sweden.
